Sustainability

At Milu, sustainability is a natural discipline.

Every year, the fashion industry discards 92 million tonnes of textile (of which half is pre-production). Less than 13% of textile is ever recycled. That’s the weight of about 250,000 blue whales, the heaviest animal to have ever existed.. We started there.

Each piece is made from recycled material or from unused raw fabric sourced directly from the world's leading luxury fashion houses — e.g. the LVMH Group.

Our production takes place in micro factories and ateliers in Europe including Sweden, which allows for shorter delivery chains and more control versus industry standards.

By working with recycled and rescued luxury fabric, we reduce the need for new production, thereby reducing textile waste, and can still ensure that every piece carries the same quality of a luxury house. It also allows for us to work with more fun and unique material.
